Touchdowns and Punchlines
With Labor Day behind us and the scent of hot dogs and tailgates in the air, football season is barreling in like a linebacker on a mission. Brands are scrambling to hustle their way into our hearts (and wallets), showcasing a hilarious lineup of ads featuring legends, coaches, and more who are not just x’s and o’s on the field but comedic gold off it, too. Humor has become the MVP of advertising this year, as these campaigns pump up the athletic prowess of the players while reflecting fans’ undying passion for the game, complete with nods to those charming quirks we all know and love. Check out how these 10 brands are kicking off the 2024-2025 NFL season with a bang!
Soda Showdown
In its latest campaign for “Ridge Rush,” Olipop is boldly climbing the fizzy slopes of soda rivalry, all while armed with a citrus punch and a not-so-subtle wink at its mountain-loving competition, whom we shall refer to as “Mountain Dude”—as if it weren’t obvious! With the tagline “A Can of Do,” Olipop, aided by the comedic geniuses of Fatal Farm, is marketing a drink that promises to pep you up more than the sight of a squirrel on a caffeine kick.
September Scaries
Ahhhh… to be young again. Unfortunately, we corporate folk no longer get the summer vacation we yearned for every year. However, it is still ingrained in us no matter how old we get. September’s here, and while the kids don backpacks and colored folders, we’re dragging ourselves back to the grind- like adults going back to school, but without nap time. If summer left you clinging to your beach chair like it’s a lifeboat, fear not: this is your chance to reset and re-energize. Dust off those post-vacation blues with a desk makeover that screams, “I’ve got my life together!” (even if you’re still winging it.) Spruce up your LinkedIn, toss out last year’s stale coffee cups and maybe, just maybe, finally figure out how to use that standing desk.
PepperPick
